Black Diamond Bandit Avalung Package
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009
If you’re headed into the backcountry this season, or even the sidecountry at your local resort, do yourself a favor and take the right gear. Black Diamond has put together the Bandit Avalung Package to give you the basic backcountry essentials in one package. The all aluminum Deploy 3 shovel is ready to clear snow for a fallen comrade or your snow pit in the morning. The QuickDraw Super Tour Probe gives you 265cm of probe length, and is ready to go faster than a cougar at last call. Finally, the Bandit pack ties it all together; giving you plenty of space to store your avalanche essentials as well as a spare layer, mountain lunch, and something to drink, plus it features a built in Avalung, allowing you to breathe under the snow if you get buried. If you are going to travel into the backcountry, please be responsible; take a rescue course, keep your avalanche beacon turned on with fresh batteries, be safe, and have fun. Black Diamond Bandit Avalung Package ($260)
Smith I/OS Goggle
Sunday, June 14th, 2009Smith Optics have come back with a brand new snowboarding goggle called the I/OS. These rimless goggles allow for maximum visibility and have a locking lens plate for switching out the glass on sunny or cloudy days. They also improved the model over the older I/O goggle by adding additional foam for a tighter seal around most faces. The I/OS is heavily fog resistant, and it would be tough to find a better goggle with more versatility! $180

Flow Flight 2 Bindings
Monday, April 20th, 2009Wanna maximize the cost of your lift ticket? Well the only way to do that is to spend more time shredding the mountain and you can’t do that if you spend all your time at the top buckling, tying, and ratcheting your boots to your bindings. Flow makes it easy to ride just simply lower the back latch on the binding, insert your foot, and raise the latch back into place until it clicks. It’s the only way to catch snow bunnies fellas! Feel free to thank me later.
