Nike Livestrong M65 Jacket

The M65 jacket.  People who wear it as streetwear call it “classic” and “iconic”.  People who wore one in combat call it “an atrocity”.  With a little help from Nike and Lance Armstrong, the M65 jacket has been dragged kicking and screaming into modern times.  Born out of three layer waterproof laminate, the Nike Livestrong M65 is constructed using modern ultrasonic welding and taped seams to eliminate stitching, while keeping details like the button-in liner, packable hood, and a storm-proof zipper to retain function.  It’s spartan exterior is accented by highlights in the iconic Livestrong Yellow.  You can find it at select Nike Sportswear retailers. ($TBA)

Smith I/OS Goggle

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

Smith Optics have come back with a brand new snowboarding goggle called the I/OS. These rimless goggles allow for maximum visibility and have a locking lens plate for switching out the glass on sunny or cloudy days. They also improved the model over the older I/O goggle by adding additional foam for a tighter seal around most faces. The I/OS is heavily fog resistant, and it would be tough to find a better goggle with more versatility! $180
